The Ball

The Ball

A Poem by ~hεllα.

"Daddy! Daddy!" she begged and pleaded...
"Let me go to the ball. Take me just this once!"
He turned from her and shrugged. She then skipped off smiling and gussied up her hair
painted her face... slipped her dainty elegant gown over her
beautiful soft feminine silhouette.
She giggled as she looked in the mirror.
Happy to finally get her one wish.
She then waited all night for him to come for her so she could have her one dance.
As she awoke on the dance floor, 5 early morn, a frown so
deep shot across her face and a sorrowful tear fell as she became frail.
For by the next day he was gone...
Time was out.
And no more could she go to the ball and her daddy would never return.
