Lost Love

We walk by each other everyday,
we act fine, like nothing happened.
But we see the hurt in each other's eyes, so what is it that we want to hide.
We both loved each other, probably more than we wanted,
so we ran, we hid, afraid.
She said she still likes me but does she?
She said she moved on, but how so quick? I've tried but have failed at moving on.
Nothing compares to what I once knew, and wish I still knew.
The hazel eyes I once got lost in are gone, The person that I could make blush as red as a cherry is no where to be found.
Our love is drifting, but my heart's still hanging on,
why won't it let me move on?
As if something is still there when really....nothing is,
my heart is still broken , still hurting, still longing...for the one I have.....lost.
