Traveler of the pathA Poem by Muhammad Junaid JadoonThe poem, "Traveler of the Path," reflects on the transient nature of life and the ultimate purpose of human existence. In this world, we all walk the path, Leaving memories behind, finding new tracks. This earth, this sky, this colorful expanse, All is fleeting, driven by a desire to advance. These moments are transient, like a dream’s course, We move forward, drawn by destiny’s force. Life’s moments, like an evening’s journey, Pass us by"what will remain of us, if any? In countless instants, we may fade away, Life is but a spectacle, brief as the day. The games of the world, temporary for all, And after this, judgment will call. However far we run, however high we rise, Ultimately, we must stand before the Divine. This wealth, this status, this worldly acclaim, All is fleeting, like a dream’s fragile flame. We gather so much, yet nothing remains, Everything fades, all beauty wanes. What we earned, what we stored with pride, None of it will last; all will subside. Treasures are shadows; we are mere travelers, In this world, nothing stays, all is ephemeral. We paint the world, yet dreams they seem, Remember, the hereafter is the truest dream. The journey of life teaches us this, The world is a dream, fading into abyss. Like travelers walking, however far they go, The destination is the same, where life must slow. This path is no end; it’s merely a test, Our fate lies in the hereafter's rest. On life’s path, we walk as travelers, Understanding the truths, we’re mere wanderers. Each moment’s a trial, each step a decree, The message is clear: eternity is destiny. © 2024 Muhammad Junaid Jadoon |
