NON BELIEVER

NON BELIEVER

A Poem by KEEPER

If you were asked to preach,
To make a believer out of me.
It would be none less an equivalent to, out of stone, expecting to quench your thirst from the water that made it concrete

If you were asked to preach,
My colossal heart to breach.
Then surely your aspirations
Would be well out of your reach

To believe in what is,
has, for me, become a way to live
and to believe in what I believe to be is still a foreign belief to me

I hope, I pray
To whom I still don't know
To one day understand
How it feels to love your foe

How it feels to not know
what to do but still have hope.
How it feels to have a penny
but as he who has a dollar,
be just as stoked

I hope I pray
To whom?
I want to know
To one day become a believer
And mend my broken soul
