I saw her today
A glimpse at most
A love hidden
A story untold

Aligned as they stood,my words unspoken
Were they to assure our future?
Or be a great grinding mallet that left a heart truly broken

Who knows to whom Lady Luck might smile
And with the wonders of her might,with great splendour beguile
Would she ever be so kind that on THIS DAY!
Grant inevitable success to this shy and troubled mind

Should I walk up to her and let my love be known?
Or let my heart lie dormant with feelings still yet to hone

That is the daily struggle between my battered heart and troubled mind
I only hope,hope and hope to one day find the courage
To utter out THE words and end this eternal tussle.
