WHY HER

WHY HER

A Poem by Sanaa kwa mtaa
"

a sad poem about a lady who lost her life through an accident

"
Jane,
she had a beautiful smile,
a smile that you stared for a while,
she had a sexy body shape,
a shape that made you wish.

she was a super dancer,
better than the samba dancer,
walked like a model,
talked like a celebrity,
ooh how i wished she was mine.

Morally she was upright,
at 21 she had her virginity,
alcohol was not her entity,
men and their wishes were vanity,
ooh how i wished she was mine.

I was her number one fan,
in my dreams she was not one,
two three or four times,
she was an everyday guest,
she was all i thought.

I was there,
her number one gazer,
her undisputed starer,
reading her body,
drowning in fantasy.

she was at the bus stop,
i was standing at the shop,
when that nightmare occurred,
right before my prying eyes,
right in front of my yearning heart.

The driver was drunk,
he couldn't control his trunk,
and pup!
she was no more,
gone forever.

who will i dream of,
who will i think of,
who will i wish for,
she died with my gaze,
why her? Mr silly driver

This was an intriguing piece. I was not sure what to make of it. Very powerful emotion. I was curious who the muse of this piece was - the language was simple but to the point.
