Bitter Sweet

Bitter Sweet

A Poem by Ink Seductress

Bitter Sweet

Still stay up thinking about you,

no matter how many times i try to forget,
trying to put up this brazen careless attitude and watching it fall back.
This is me, you can't change who i am,
 once whole, now broken.
You did this to me, you set my world ablaze,
then you left me kneeling in the embers,
to find the remnants of my dignity.
 YOU did this to me,
and i hope the guilt chokes you,
until the ashes of my once whole heart,
taste acrid on your tongue,
and the grief consumes you,
drowning you in my bitter sweet blood.

This piece is one I also enjoyed, "You did this to me, you set my world ablaze,
then you left me kneeling in the embers,
to find the remnants of my dignity."

Tough but direct.

"...drowning you in my bitter sweet blood."

Now that's a writer's weapon!

Well done!!!

Thank you :)
Wow, this was quite strong but so well written. I loved the layout and the loud tone of this piece. I really enjoyed this today.

Don't get too close, you might not like what you find, I've spent my life disguising myself, finding places for my demons to hide. Don't say I didn't warn ya, cause I really did try. You'll fall under.. more..
