Feeling AgainA Poem by MsMermaidA prose poem by my girlfriend, KellyFeeling Again By Kelly February, 2012 Feelings, they are a sumptuous banquet I savor and drink from the cup of their fathomless mysteries Attempting to understand their challenges concerning love and fear They tease in both gentle and harsh parables Creator speak to me within and feed this hungry soul Ignite the wisdom of my flame with the passion of your desire Fling truth naked through windows opening within the chambers of my heart Free me to fly with feelings of raw wonder Show me who I am in the glory of mother nature A Metaphor likened to frail flowers covering a field Which blossom in delight as garments cloaked by the sun They sway and dance gracefully in the breeze of life And whisper their fragrance like ethereal ghosts Brewing an effervescence of memories Seething and bubbling to the surface of my mind Enabling knowing to embrace myself within all life Memories come from ancient times and roaming of strange lands When the old ones, angels, spirits and gods of magic Walked with humanity and kissed our trembling souls With miracles of abundance in the beauty of simple ways Alas, these days are forgotten by the world's people They breed senselessly with other races and cultures In a colorless blend, their heirloom seeds have dissolved Tribal rites of celebration, myths and natural ways cast aside The roots are shallow, with an unquenchable thirst for Mammon And they whither with addictions of drinking material delights May we cast aside this siren call of consummation For it leads to insensitivity, deafness of life And seek what is calling inside to unfold itself The grail cup of Nature is being offered by feeling Just unheard through the noise of modern life
