BeautyA Poem by MsMermaidDescription of beauty as more than what the eye sees. Rose photograph taken by my daughter, Katie in our back yard. Girl in Red Dress from Flickr.Beauty I sit in darkness, my unseeing eyes lonely to know beauty
But none comes to the dark. The dark knows its duty. I bow my head, tears trickling down my cheeks. My heart cries out in pain for the beauty that it seeks. Somewhere in the darkness, the laughter of a child. I prick my ears to listen. My heart is beating wild. Then gently in my open hands, I feel a velvet touch. Fragrance reaches to my heart. This rapture is too much. And then I know completely what my eyes cannot translate... That beauty has a fragrance, inner image to create. Beauty has a velvet touch, and the sound of laughter too. Beauty is more than mere seeing. Seeing is only a view. © 2011 MsMermaid |
