BoomerangA Poem by MsMermaidA fairy tale without fairies. Art of girl by my daughter, Lori. Zombatar, computer generated by my son, Eric. Photo of cute boy from public domain.Boomerang This day so bleak Upon my cheek A salty tear I taste. Feel like a freak Because some geek Said something rude in haste. I hear the creak Of floorboard speak And turn to see a friend Who didn't seek On me to sneak But wanted to defend. The plan was sleek 'Twas quite unique The brainstorm my friend had. Such grand technique I gave a shriek! Its genius made me glad. At full moon's peak With clouds oblique My friend swore this would work. Hold this antique The spell bespeak And bind it on this jerk. Turn back to geek His foul critique, That slimes you with such names. Should he dare speak This spell's mystique Will boomerang his games. With such a tweak Then he will squeak Next time he calls you sow. He'll squeal, that geek Instead of speak. Yes, he'll be sorry now. Oh lucky streak! Here comes that geek I cover mouth with hand To stifle leak of gloating speak Because of scheme so grand. "Hello, Monique." With ruddy cheek And smirk upon his face. That silly geek Did kindly speak! So awful my disgrace! Each word did seek To change that geek With comments meant for me. "NO!" I did shriek For spell unique Made him handsome as could be! © 2011 MsMermaid |
