A Galaxy of Longing

The time draws nigh
Filled now the sky
With angels, come to see,
The long awaited moment
When Earth will be set free.

Earth suffers sore
The pain of war
Her natural riches spent.
Land, air, and water polluted
Greedy humans who won't repent.

A galaxy of longing, is longing now for peace.
A galaxy of longing for Earth to find release.
A galaxy of longing for humans to finally learn
A galaxy of longing for the light of love's return.

We had our time
To end our crime
Of pillage, rape and more.
To learn to live with ethics
Instead of evening a score.

Some of us learned
But most of us spurned
The law of love and grace.
The time has come to pay the price,
Oh pitiful human race.

A galaxy of longing is longing for an end
A galaxy of longing to make each other a friend.
A galaxy of longing to change our bitter ways.
There's no time now for longing
We're at the end of days.
