The Darkness

The Darkness

A Poem by Midnight Countess

It comes without a warning,

In the dead of night.

No one knows it's next victim

In the terrible fight,

Blood drips,

Screams are heard.

But then all you see

Is a black bird.

Is this what you thought?

Is this what you see?

Yet in the end,

All you see is me.
