Wedding Bliss

Wedding Bliss

A Poem by Ms Jessica Renee
"

Marriage makes life magical

"
Sunlight slivered through the blinds
The light glistened on my left hand ring.
There I stood in front of the mirror
As the moment became clearer
March 6th was the day
When 'I do' is what I was finally able to say

Months had passed
And still I remembered that day he asked.
It was a cool winters morning
And his proposal came without warning.
Down on one knee he took my hand
And soon I began to understand.
The moment had finally come
My heart was beating like a drum.
He finally asked me to share a life
And be his wife.

Thoughts filled my head that Spring day.
Finally I was to take on his name.
Butterflies fluttered with every word
And an angel chorus was heard
Soon the vows had been exchanged
And rings were placed on each left hand.
My life was his life
His life was my life.
With a seal of a kiss
And a sense of bliss
We were finally husband and wife.

So simple truth that is ever green and omnipresent in every one's life!

I like a kind of real touch in this poem.

Thank you.
