Confused

What can a person do when the mind and heart conflict?

I was told to hold my head up high

Just fight back the urge to sigh

Breath in the air

And don't give a care

 

But how can I

Just tell my heart a lie

And say good bye

 

I was told he wasn't the only one

That I could find another one

 

I'm so confused inside

I don't know what to do

I'm choking

I'm breaking

 

My hearts tells me not to give up

But my mind says just forget love

 

But can I just push the feelings aside?

Bury the memories deep down inside? 

 

I'm so confused.

So utterly confused.

Reading your poem very much emotions i"m feeling.You can always hold your head high but were human we care. I care about everything.you don't have to lie to yourself and your heart, you feel what you feel inside. my dad use to tell me karen listen to your mind and whats its trying to say cause if you listen to your heart it can decieve you, cause in your heart you want it to be even if its not meant to be.never forget about love hon cause true love is there, sometimes if you don't think about finding the right one it comes to you.If the one your with is mean or hurts you phyiacally or mentally then I would'nt be with them they wont change I know ,or if theres no trust or respect then I would give them time to change if not i would have to go thats me. im not sure whats going on but there is a lot of wonderful guys so dont ever give up on it ok? when you love someone with your whole heart it can get very confussing,the worst thing you can do is bury it, face it straight on . thank you for your write. you expressed yourself well. If you ever need to talk I am hear don't ever forget that.
