How much more can I be?

Just the sound of your voice

Brings so much joy.

Just knowing you are out

The smiles come about.

 

But..

I have yet to see you

Only hear you

Patiently I waited

For this very day

"I love you" to be said

But you didn't come back today

 

Can I really wait?

Hold out much longer?

Till the final day

You come back my way

 

Patiently I prayed

For the days not to be long

That this love isn't wrong

 

Patiently I lived

Did my best on my own

Trying to breathe alone

 

Patiently I am waiting still.

 

Author's Note

This is dedicated and in response to my boyfriend finally getting out of jail but I have yet to see him. It is harder now then it was before.
