Maybe Next Time

Just maybe..

Maybe next time I won't fall so fast

For someone so fake like you

And I won't let the tears fall

Nor will I break in two

My heart is damaged now

But in time it shall heal

The pain you caused

The hurt I feel

Soon it will fade too.

I will move on without you.

 

Maybe next time I will put a barrier

Place tightly around my heart

Protecting it from those like you

I won't let anyone take it

My eyes will remain dry

The agony no longer felt inside

You will be erased away

Never going to relive that memory

Cause I'm moving on without you

 

Maybe next time I will chose better

Someone to cherish forever

Give me a touch so warm and true

Far from being any way like you

Because I have moved on

So long.
