A bit corny, but a poem I wrote for my students

 

A TEACHER’S SONG

like soup on a cold rainy day,

like rainbows

when the rain goes away

You keep me grounded,

You make me whole,

 I have love for every one of You…

love you to the depths of my soul!

 

 

when You “get it”,

i get it-an exhilarating high

for You are

the reasons i feel i can fly,

the wind beneath my wings,

my heart for You sings, yes it sings.

 

 

i am driven by Your creativity,

by Your willingness to “just be me”,

by Your future

and all of its

possibilities, probabilities.

 

one day we will have to be apart

but You’ll always be with me,

deep inside my heart,

when You’re not around,

 the day seems a nuisance,

It’s so ultra cool to have You

as my

STUDENTS!!
