This poem explains my mission in life. For real teachers, it's a calling, not a career! You don't choose it, it chooses you! This poem is dedicated to all my teachers!

The REAL Teacher Creed

I am a warrior

I am a Killer

I kill ignorance daily

(Monday-Friday)

 

My battle ground is my classroom

My weapons- books, knowledge, and love

 

My objective is to kill all the ignorance I encounter,

leaving my students thirsty to learn

 

My strategies-

Making learning fun and being a role model

as a lifelong learner myself

 

Why do I fight?

Because there is nothing more dangerous

than closed, ignorant minds

Which seek to keep my world stagnant

 

I cannot be defeated

because God is my Commander

 

I win battles everyday,

but the war continues

 

I AM THE IGNORANCE KILLER!
