Chapter Thirteen

Chapter Thirteen

A Chapter by Ms.Rodgers

A weekend of silence follows. Evan is out of town, and I miss him more than I should. Emily stays at home. She’s moping, with good reason and I just know she doesn’t want company. I sketch, mostly. I draw Emily and Evan singing for me. Evan’s hands delicate on his guitar, mid strum. Hands, clutching desperately at each other. Fists raised in anger. Two silhouettes lips pressed flush together. And it’s at this point that I decide I have way too much time on my hands.
I think a lot. About school, and about the future. Mainly though, I think about the past. The things that never seemed important at the time but now seem huge.
The warning bell rings signaling the start of the first day of school. I can feel a heavy weight settle on my chest. It’s been eight years, eight years of attending school with morons I don’t really like. Eight years too long. Emily has made the experience  quite a bit easier, but we don’t have any classes together until after lunch and…
“Excuse me.” A male voice declare, a finger tapping on my should. I turn and my eyes are met with the most gorgeous male I’ve seen in my life. And that’s saying quite a lot. He’s got dark hair that falls into his oceanic blue-green eyes. His lips are a perfect cupid’s bow, and they’re curved up into a crooked smile.
“I’m Evan, I’m new could you… help me find my classroom?” The boy smiles, staring into my eyes obviously self-conscious. I can feel my heart beating harder and sweat forming on my palms.
“Aiden.” I smile nimbly snatching his schedule from his hands and flipping it to face me. I can feel his eyes on me and a blush rise in my cheeks. I quickly scan the paper, and we have the same first period, among others.
“We have the same first period…we can walk together?” I smile softly heart whirring, stomach full of butterflies. His eyes widened as if surprised that someone would be so kind. A smile covers his face.
“That’d be great!” He beams happily falling into step beside me. My heart’s pounding in my chest, and I’m decidedly glad he asked me for help.

Sorry for taking forever to update.
I was recovering after finals, and then I was sick. The kind of brain not functioning sick.
Anyways, I'll be back to updating regularly. Sorry this chapter sucks.

Such as life. At least it was done in a contextual situation. Aiden by himself. What does one really have to think about when they are alone? The past or the future.
