14 Karat

14 Karat

A Poem by Lady M

If life was only dreaming

surely we would never die.

A sigh would never break the silence

we would always kiss when we cry.

And if I was done with loving

you'd tell me it wasn't so.

Heartsick and hungry

You'd never let me go

We'd feast onto forever

never growing cold.

In the end when we have nothing

you'll fall and I'll bleed gold.
