The Sea and Me

It only takes the sea,
to make someone like me,
feel so very small.

I'm not a boat,
or a moat,
and I can't swim.

I'm not a bird up high,
circling the sky.

I'm not a fish below,
swimming down low.

All it takes is the sea,
for someone like me.

I'm not a fearless captain,
braving the waves and wind.

I'm not a strong pilot,
battling the air and mist.

All it takes is the sea,
for someone like me.

I'm no captain,
not a pilot.
I'm no bird,
not a fish.

I'm just me.

All it takes is the sea,
to feel so very small.
