Thank You For The Coffee

Thank You For The Coffee

A Poem by Lady M
"

If you ever read this I'm sorry. I just needed something to write about.

"
I want to wake up naked on your floral mattress with no sheets.
The taste of cinnamon stuck in my throat.
I don't care if it's your mother's house.
I don't care about your car.
I don't care if your sister is home in the next room.
I just like the way I feel when you pull me closer on top of you.
White walls.
Blinding daylight.
Clothes on the floor.
We didn't undress ourselves.
I know you for who you were in the hotel room that night.
I'd love to think it isn't all about the sex but look at the marks on my neck.
You're the taste in my mouth when I've had one too many drinks.
When we've slept all through the afternoon,
when you're stealing my heart and my sheets.
I like to sleep in your old sweat and skin.
The smell of you in my hair.
The view of my fingers on your neck and your teeth on my throat.
I dream of shoulders and tattooed backs.
You're so much older.
You're the eight ball but you don't care.
I'm just another girl in her underwear.

A nice piece. It appears quite honest, at least to me. The desire of the narrator towards the object of their...want is very well put. It's vulnerable, and needy and real.

Very raw.

I like it.
