My Girl's Got Hooker Shoes

My Girl's Got Hooker Shoes

A Poem by Lady M

What's the matter darling?
Did you drink up all the wine again last night?
I had a dream where you wrote me a letter telling me you'd still call.
But your heel broke on your long walk home and your lipsticks smeared again.
I know he had his tongue down your throat.

Now you're upstairs at his place all alone,
and I'm down here waiting by the phone.

Pick it up and give me
a ring honey. I already
gave you mine.

No one ever did look quite so good in city lights.
