A Poem by Mrudula Rani
"

Seguidilla (Spanish poetic form)

"
It is likely for the nonce.
Not rut of squalor,
Know not if hap or hazard,
Yolden us valor.
Whilst we're in this race
Let's confect the best of it,
let us step in grace.

It's a wonderful precept, Mrudula. The poem as a whole in combination with the poster, I mean.

Seems we have come to an impasse in public affairs and it is now anything goes for far too many people. The more outspoken and critical the better appears to be the sentiment. But where does all the rhetoric lead...nowhere helpful, certainly. And words only take us so far.

I appreciate the simplicity of this message. I feel tempted to name a public figure (or two!) that it reminds me of, but I think I'll take your advice instead and 'step in grace,' as I walk away.

Hope things are good in your part of the world.

I always thought that the Seguidilla was a dance.. now I know better. Lovely form and a powerful message.

You are absolutely correct, Seguidilla was originally dance music, and took on poetic form as well... read more

Porque você merece, você é uma amor e favorito de todos nós.
Trying to follow this compact and cleverly written piece I was stuck in terms of the 'nonce' as there is no grace in such a soul in most people's thinking? Indeed we need more agreement and less warmongering, less posturing and more nurturing.

although unfamiliar with the seguidilla it sounds good and is bound to be enjoyed.... a friendly coming together and making the most of what is available on the one hand maybe, but falling in love regardless and doing so with head held high would taste even sweeter...... I may be wrong... I am very tired so forgive me... N
