My God has not one name

My God has not one name

A Poem by Mrudula Rani
"

You cannot believe in God until you believe in yourself- swami Vivekananda

"
My God has not one but sobriquets a million,
answers to all and every one of the appellation.
My God hests no proof of liveries of my troth,
For my liturgy cantillates all its strength.

God queries no sacrifices or luxurious donation,
Divvying certitude appeases God I reckon...
For I know by the joy that brims my heart at alength,
when I extend a hand to any living in dearth.

My God yens no wars in the name of persuasion.
For he bestowed us ardor, an extraordinary possession,
to discern and resolve our differences,
Only with comity construe reverence.

My God pledges no glories of afterlife temptations.
For life is terse to waste on hebetated anticipations,
Faith you follow is mightier than the others' is a self-deception.
and to prove warring does demise and destruction.

I accredit we can do right by God without contention,
for God is love, hope and an infinite inspiration.
God is here and now, God is within us; the goodness.
God is eternal fulgor in many forms and naams to infer esse.

OOOOOOOOOOOOOO Mrudula.... Language may not be your God but it is God given to you! If in a state of meditation I should crawl out of my body and float into the air I should like very much to occupy your pen for a while to watch those word weavings unfold! The liturgy of you is absolutely wonderful and one of which I wholeheartedly agree. Blessed be your heart as is evidenced in your art in these words not sure i could write of this subject as well as you did. I loved this

whew! your poem has given me dictionary a true workout this morning ... one can certainly appreciate your use of the language .. for me there is a bit too much of it tho .. and makes for interruptions of a very important theme and flow ... God is Love and is in all things ... each ones understanding is valid if the search is true and unrelenting .. God is God after all :) and Truth is Truth .. yours is a message we can hear all day every day and it can still be fresh and new .. i would use less of the very cool but not normal conversation wordage ;) strong spiritual voice!

You are welcome my friend.
In these current hate-filled times, I find myself craving ways to express positivity without it ending up being a response to someone else's constantly-droning negativity. Your poem does this perfectly . . . borne from your heart, not a response to the times we are in. It's a teaching poem which shows us different ways to have a relationship with the divine. I think many reject God becuz they have not been shown a pathway outside the dots of established religion. Your use of vocabulary is always stimulating & inspiring! (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie
