I adjudge myself poet, if I can have you gather,
fragrant efflorescence' supple and silken texture,
Dawn's coruscating rays unfurl like fabric so fine,
awakens dormant kernel to upsize tall and green.
Caresses of zephyr through misty curtain; a rapture.
If I can define accord atwix souls; noble treasure,
If I can lay the journey of love amid pet and human in picture,
Smile a hungry face emits to the hand of divine,
I adjudge myself poet.
If I can tag all hues under azure lid, past measure!
avid mood of elements that break boundaries of nature,
Ever prying mind, can deceive its own, plays God often.
Once more to ignite your faith, the miracles that happen,
If I can spiel the mirth of scribing views into structure,
I adjudge myself poet.
I love this. Yes, you are a poet. A pretty damn good one to boot. You do more with the english language sometimes than I can ever dream of and it makes me ashamed I dont try hard enough to bring out the beauty in the world as you do. I sympathize with this one a lot as you lay out the reason we should stand up and take notice. It says "I'm a poet and damn the reasons for saying otherwise!" Of course I say that it in a gruff CD like manner, but you know what i mean. I think you've more than earned the title.

I do not adjudge myself a critic, but from opening line to finish this is lovely.

Love your photo . . . and your message is delightfully different in all the ways I love about your originality. The center stanza really blew me over with the way it started to dawn on me here how you are using your title phrase thru-out in such a playful expansive yearning. I love the inherent modesty, as if you aren't a mind-blowing poet already. I love the way that shows how we poets are always trying new things & striving to learn to dig deeper or laugh harder. These are all the specifics that we poets feel universally, but you always state things in such awesome interesting terms! Hope your holidays are starting out merry & bright! (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie

There are words and feelings that - created or naturally risen from a genuine place prove that true heartfelt awareness and appreciation from The All Around produces immense inspiration.. and, you have done just that in fifteen lines of alphabetic juggling! You truly have done more than 'spiel the mirth of scribing views into structure, I adjudge myself poet.'
