Ergo

Ergo

A Poem by Mrudula Rani

When void gets hold of mood, if not checked
pervades as wild fire, consuming the fortitude.

When gloom makes home in intuition, without permission
gains strangling hold with resolution.

When infelicitous heart yearns for the other, with every fiber,
loveless life weighs as intolerable as a boulder.

When stationed without hope before future,
a barren land of waste it will appear.

When despair spreads In waves and insight no help avail,
a flood of sorrow will drown the soul.

When it is beyond the will to deal with vacuity
It leads to demise certainly by torpidity!

When sun lies towards the horizon, still locate no reason for celebration...
even after the return of the full moon.
Cause he is never the same and asserts the pitch darkness that follows soon.

This is a wonderful write to read and to speak aloud. Very powerful stuff full of imagery. The first two lines start everything out with a bang and entrances you till the end. Great poem. I really like this one. BTW, theres a few typos. Saw a j in permission.

Dear M, that is the darkest and bleakest place to be. When that grip gets hold, it can cling like leeches to the skin. You just have to weather it, and it's painful. Never lose sight of the fact that all tunnels have an end. All good wishes. Felt every word here.

Thank you dear C, for your kind words. I appreciate your review.
some things just are, therefore, no matter how much we question, those same things remain as is... a middle way of balance, is the path I try to keep and although not always the most comfortable of paths, having previously taken other, maybe less complex routes, I feel more comfortable with myself for it.... ... Just like Mr. Kipling who makes exceedingly good cakes, this poem is well crafted too and exceedingly good also... N

Sometimes everything in life just looks bleak.
You wake up bleak, you go back to bed bleak.
But life is sometimes looking inward. The world will always revolve.
You just have to revolve with it.

Tut, tut. Was expecting to read a swash buckling adventure with Jason at the fore front, Dragons, sea creatures, mis behaving deities, but sadly no. Not an Ergonaut in sight......boooooooooooooooooo.
Gotta keep looking for that pin prick of light at the end of the tunnel.
Good morning Mrudula.

A sad journey of words, as if hope's travelling through a long, long, dark tunnel..
Hope and pray that you can find light along the way soon and find some smiles to pave your path.

Not bleak but worrying to me.. makes me sad when others are.
There will always be rain and darkness that flows through our lives. It's how we bounce back that matters.
