Grief

Grief

A Poem by Mrudula Rani
"

To my second brother.

"
Sorrows built diurnal nest in her heart,
Fetching a flood of tears to assist at night.
Owing to the loss of her indefectíble gift,
In her heart, diurnal nest sorrows built.

like a candle lost flare,
Immense pain of reminiscence, her share.
Consoling enquirers import your departure in detail ,
Lost flare, like a candle.

Your portrait on the wall,
The garland of roses compete with your smile, they fail.
The reflections of glittering lamp ornate
On the wall, your portrait.

You are now among angels.
And with your absence she struggles.
Still melancholy flows with vigor
Now among angels, you are.

This a tough one. To lose someone close is bad enough.
But when you think that person is getting better, and then they're taken away from you is devastating.

Sometimes when folk are suffering it is a blessed relief to see them pass on and this seems to make the loss more bearable. Tis different when loved ones are taken suddenly or after a short illness as there is no time to prepare the heart for what is in the offing.
Beautiful words Mrudula.
Hope you are all well.....here's a big hug ( ) :))

Thank you dear friend.
One dearly loved is gone; no doubt, difficult for those who remain--better, perhaps, for the departed.
Still, we hurt.

You are welcome Mrudula.
This is a truly moving dedication methinks and the hurt and loss clearly genuine and tangible to those who seek these words out, or who otherwise stumble upon them by chance... I know it wont really make much difference my friend, but I am here thinking of you now and pray your hurt will become more bearable.. night, night M....
