Reverie

Reverie

A Poem by Mrudula Rani

Long
to delve
deep into
Sea of sonants,
Scour, superlatives
To forge grand cathedrals
Cataratas, clouds of silver.
Whither my euphoria knits
With the magnificence of nature
to pirouette for the pleasure of soul.

Thank your C. You are very kind.
I love your poetic artistry! The way you made this poem shaped like a light beam makes it all the more radiant and powerful! It feels like I am lost in daydream somewhere in a lavender field in France.

Does "cataratas" mean cathedrals?

Keep writing! :)

Oh yeah! I've seen pictures!

It's cool that this poem has a waterfall effect.
You really are the mistress of echoing words, Mrudula! Long after i read your poetry, i hear the music of it.. goodness knows how you do it, tis near magical!! Here you use phrases as if complex chords that only the most nimble mind can create. Brilliant sound, truly.

'To forge grand cathedrals ~ Cataratas, clouds of silver. ' You've forged, believe me!

This is an amazing statement that I had to read twice to really soak in the meaning. Truly the most unique way of looking at "reverie" . . . something I like to do often. You've challenged me with new words, too! Love your alliteration, especially "p" in last line (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie

Thank you for the visit, dear jimmy.
If only we had time.
I wonder if we spend our lives thinking about doing things. But never actually doing them.
Put that in my diary.

You have to make time for little pleasures in life!
Witty, Mrudula! You were able to create a complex poem without sacrificing intent or gorgeous imagery. Great work.
