Águas de MarçoA Poem by Mrudula Rani![]() March rains are called "Águas de Março" in Brasil![]()
The cool breeze and pure moisture,
from the vast bule above, A blessing of Mother Nature. First drops of rain like dew drops on my lips, Softly reaching my soul, like lover's kiss. As it pours down, Runs in microstreams on my skin, Slowly evaporating warmth from frame. As the heavy rain drenches me, from head to toes, Wrapped in water logged and tranparent Clothing, Under the open skies,I feel being in a bath! Slushing through the rivers of brown, That's gaining ebb and flow on the slopes of town, Lapping at the sidewalks, and lamp posts, The force of the flow a gentle massage between my toes I become part of the elements of nature As the dry leaves and candy wrappers swimming in circles Adrift to the unknown; the freedom of joy! Rains of march whash away, the grimes of yesterdays. Sun makes another sheepish attempt to start the day! © 2018 Mrudula RaniAuthor's Note
