Summer showersA Poem by Mrudula Rani
Cool spray of rain
Carried by the wind Whispered against windowpanes, And glistened like jewels of a kind. From rooftops, along the walls ran the rain, To form rivulets, and raced down to the unknown! In pools, and puddles scattered sky on the ground. Trees weighted down with veils of glassy liquid, wept a prayer for the return of warm rays of gold. Behind the gray canopy Hide-and-seek played the sun, Celebrating his victory, Sky wore a rainbow till noon! Velvety blanket spread the emerald green, Emerging worms and flies were feast for the fledglings, Clouds of spun silver drifted across ocean of pale ceiling of blue Butterflies and bees chased the flowers' bright hues The aftermath of summer showers A moving masterpiece of colors. © 2018 Mrudula RaniReviews
