A case for Cats, Dogs and DucksA Poem by Mrudula Rani
The creepy crawlers, the scaly serpents!
Belly dragging, beady-eyed reptiles, All scare the bejeezus out of me! The crocks, alligators, lizards of all heights, Primitive in from, and their lumbering gait, Remind me of the long-gone Dinosaurs ! I find the reptiles, aggressive unnecessarily, And naturally nasty! territorial, and void of curiosity. They might strike first, if they suspect a provocation Their style of dealing with the intruder Is etched in their DNA. It is something they can't stop in any way! They are cunningly swift, and crawl away under a rock They are so unlike cats, dogs, and ducks! Who with their intelligence and ingeniouity Gained spot eternally in our homes, and hearts. Their cuddly cuteness overload, disposition ever so sweet, Their curiosity of humans is the subject of my fascination! My cats observe me like Iam sent from heaven! © 2018 Mrudula RaniAuthor's Note
