I can't be just second best

I can't wait around forever

For your fun to end

For the pieces to fall

For the pin to drop

I can't wait forever

Just to hold you when you cry

To tell you you are beautiful

To tell you I understand

I can't wait around forever

Just to be your back-up plan

To be your safety net

To be always alone

I used to understand you

You used to get me

But now, you've made your choice

You chose her

And now I'm just second best

So Everything Amounts to Nothing

And I can't stand to see you
