Cynicism is the wall

Behind which I hide

To spare myself

The indifferent rejection

Doubt is the armor

I wear day in and day out

To protect myself

From the worlds bitter arrows

Skepticism, my shield

Sarcasm, my sword

And an embittered heart

My only solace in this world
