Loving On Borrowed TimeA Poem by Mrs.Sophrosyne12/26/10 Title Image by lpdragonfly (http://lpdragonfly.deviantart.com/)
Like sweet wine
Pouring cross my flesh; Caresses rain like butterflies; I feel no warmth from the flame of the candle he holds. Breaths lie heavy, Seeping through the folds As he pants into my ear I love you Creaking of the floorboards Resounding in my head Echoes through my heart As he lies sleeping Beside me Like a breeze Blowing through the window; Feet patter to the door; I am gone before he's awake Because I can't stay I cannot live I cannot love I can't do it on borrowed time
