RainA Poem by Mrs.Sophrosyne11/6/09 Title image by henrikla http://www.flickr.com/photos/23615644@N03/
In the night, when my eyes are closed
I see your face, your voice inside my head Waking to reality, you aren't in my arms My eyes fill with tears, my heart aches for you. In the night, when the world is silent and still I cry out for you, I long to hear you answer me Into the darkness, I call your name The shadows mock me, you aren't here. I am alone, fighting in the emptiness just to breathe. Waiting for the daylight to save me from the dark When clouds roll in and I begin to doubt, when I can't see the sun When the light in the tunnel grows dim, and I can't see the end anymore When all hope diminishes to a bare pinprick of fading light I recall the times i spent lying in your arms I remember the feeling of your body against mine I remember the whispered words And then in my dreams, in the dark privacy of sleep I dance with you beneath the clouds in the pouring rain.
