Devils WaltzA Poem by Mrs.Sophrosyne3/5/10 Title image by fbuk http://fbuk.deviantart.com/
Caught by the moon as we danced;
I was caught up in his lies. With no hope of resisting, I lost myself in his eyes. Dawn did seem so far away, As he waltzed me up the stair; On his lips lay promises, "Forever, I'll be there." Light came stealthy, stealing in, It caressed me fore I woke. When it did, it found me lone, With a heavy heart he broke. No more to dance the midnight waltz, Upon no stars I tread For just one night in sweet embrace Let my heart dismal and dead Lovers, hear my desperate plea, Resist the Devils song. Don't play his games in the night Turn away and be strong For just one night of passion I traded him for my soul In return, that Devil scum Hast turned my heart to coal.
