AddictionA Poem by Mrs.Sophrosyne6/5/10 part of a poetry compilation "on addiction" for a Creative Writing course I took this past year. (Title image by oOfAilEdOo http://oofailedoo.deviantart.com)
So much sorrow
so much pain Kill your body kill your brain You have secret you have shame Feel the torment feel the blame Leave your body leave this place Go to heaven go to space You won't leave me You can't go Just don't fight it Don't say no Forget the daylight Forget the night Calm your demon We'll be alright. You can't shake me You can't cope Within the darkness You have no hope Forget the feelings Forget the sun Light won't find you You know I've won No more safety No more soul Now without me We aren't whole I am you And You are me We are one now Can't you see? Without me here You will die This is the price for your lie We are alone We have just me life was the lock I've set you free So sell our body Sell our heart Know inside us We can't part Know you need me You've played my game There's no true freedom There's just more pain I will haunt you If you try to run Trust me now That won't be fun Shakes and shivers Pain and sweat Withdrawal will be Like nothing yet! So you're an addict And you're my slave You will serve me To your grave Stop your whining And stop the tears Face the fact embrace your fears I'm the Devil I'm the gun Pull the trigger ...We'll have fun
