Nail Into My CoffinA Poem by Mrs.Sophrosyne6/2/10 part of a poetry compilation "on addiction" for a Creative Writing course I took this past year. (Title picture by garotoslipknot http://garotoslipknot.deviantart.com/)
A white flag before the battle,
A surrender before the start. Heal the wounds before they're bleeding, before I'm torn apart. One more nail into my coffin; Another bullet in my gun. This ain't worth the life I'm leading, this pain ain't worth the fun. Another second ticks by.... One less moment left to live So much pain to die inside me Nothing left to give. But this here's my epitaph Here is what it reads. Here's the sum of all my life. not even worth the blood i bleed. So here it is, my final words Placed here upon my breast "Faithless she lived, and faithless she dies, and thus the world is blessed."
