Two Poems

They relate to one another, so they're going together. First is, What's Found in Summer, and second is, That Moment.

I have come to realize

This was the best summer

I wish it didn’t have to end

New friends

Everything's new

And now it’s all gone

But that’s summer

Beautiful and fleeting

You can never hold on

Whatever’s found in summer

Is lost come fall

And I’ve lost you.

We once talked

Of how sad it would be

To know the best moment

The happiest moment

When that would happen

Now I know

I’ve found out

It’s true

It sucks

You were the best

Moment of my life
