Stuck
Click… Stuck… Crap… I pushed and pushed but it was no use. It wouldn’t budge. Of all the most embarrassing places to stuck. At least I wasn’t claustrophobic. People on both sides tried to push, but there was nothing. I wrote on a piece of paper because they could not hear me. ‘I was walking and then I heard a click and it didn’t move anymore.’ These are things that could only happen to me. I tried to keep my bag off the floor but it was no use. The space was too small and the bag wasn’t. I could see people on the outside, taking pictures. I could only imagine what those captions would say. The internet was profiting from my misadventures. I eventually sat down. I was so tired. Twenty minutes passed by… Then 40… Where were the people who were supposed to get me out of here? The crowd dwindled and soon the firemen got through. They made sure I was ok and then tried to push it, pull it, whatever they could, but it didn’t work. I got up and tried to push with them, but still, nothing worked. They tried to do whatever they could, but still nothing worked. Eventually, they realized that there was only one way to get me out of there. SMASH! SMASH! SMASH! The glass shattered into a million pieces. SMASH! SMASH! SMASH! Again. The other section shattered too. I stepped over the first section as the many people who had gathered applauded. A news reporter came up to me and tried to ask me a bunch of questions. “What happened in there?” I sighed and shook my head. “I don’t know. It just stopped.” “Did you ever feel like you were in danger?” “No.” My friends who had been waiting came over and hugged me. Then we just fell out laughing. That’s what happens when you get stuck in a revolving door. © 2014 Mrs MelRose |
