The GiftA Chapter by Shelley Holt-LowreyA moment of gratitude
Life accidental. Perhaps that's what it was.
Though and yet I believe life knows well what it does. And Happenstance isn't, but there exists something much more, Found when life brings that of which you have need to your door. No knock was forthcoming nor did any bell chime, Yet there stood fulfillment. Right place and right time. I did not ask of, nor did I ask for, But that which was missing come forward once more. Trusting in life to treat me fair and in kind, Is a faith which holds fast and sticks firm in my mind. What I was seeking was "Nothing", content with "Not More", On the day that abundance made its way to my door. With Kindness and Honor, a Self-Assurance ingrained, Whole, Complete and with Trust therein was contained. This is what came forward, without having been asked, And I found myself able to breathe at long last. To the force which provides for even an unaware need, Which repays kindness with softness, ignoring our want and our greed: For providing what I would not have thought to ask for, I am humbled and most grateful, and I need nothing more. © 2013 Shelley Holt-LowreyReviews
