Motherhood

Motherhood

A Poem by Kate Howell
"

The tiniest things that rule your world.

"
Getting restless
Had no sleep
Then I hear the baby weep
Feed him slowly
Slurp slurp slurp
Then he lets out
One big burp
Sucking on a dummy
Snore snore snore
Being a mother
Makes your eyes so sore
All of the experiences
Crawl crawl crawl
To watch them growing
Tall tall tall
Their first step
Walk walk walk
Their first word
Talk talk talk
Being a mother is
Great great great
Even though you stay up
Late late late
It is the one position
I will never vacate
