we build a dream

we build a dream

A Poem by Helena

Though they say we build a dream
and all we feel is just so dim
and when we wake up we will scream
begging for another dream...
Though we live a life so shapeless
We are fragile, clueless helpless
Is that a life to live and suffer?
is that all? and what's after?
shapeless, clueless, broken, strong
forever right and never wrong,
we build a dream a sweet illusion
a worthless- precious delusion
a world of feelings and kingdoms of dreams
blaming the fate and all her whims
we suffer, smile and laugh and cry
we fail, break down and try and try
and dreams are fake, illusions lost
everything always has its cost.
*****
though we know we build a dream
yet we wish not to wake from it
seeing life just like a film
we still believe at least a bit...

You have described the turmoil of being a dreamer so well! Those who do not dream, will not understand. Our dreams may often drive us crazy......but we are never able to stand a chance of reaching them, if we do not take that leap of faith......like you put it, to "believe at least a bit".

Great writing!
