The Nights Lullaby

The Nights Lullaby

A Poem by Aurora Rose
"

"Hell hath no fury like a woman scorn"

"

I alone in the woods,

Left to die

Thrown out like last nights trash

My tormentor , My murder

You stole something of mine

Something I can not get back

You looked Surprised to see me

Is that your mistress that lay in our bed?

Such a shame she has to go

Rage can not began to describe

You leaked a poison in my soul

You tarnished my name

A tale only told as a Harlot

For I am not!

They say that wild creatures need to be contained

Do you think you can contain me?

Tattered and worn

My body may be gone

 But My spirit lives on

Though my body is buried alone and cold

Was it worth my youth?

An eye for an eye don’t you think?

Why Spare you?

Let the woods tell the Tale

Of a Woman’s wrath ,

A life of betrayal

At the cut of a knife

The Nights Lullaby “

This moves...I want to know what comes next. The last two lines though tie it up with a perfect bow. Nice work.
