The sight, sounds and smells (especially pine) of the country cannot be duplicated in any city or suburb. Those purple mountains majesty are something that stays with you long after you're gone. I can understand your love and affection for a place of serenity and beauty.
Beautiful poem! So you mean hight or height? Either way. I imagined being free like a bird soaking up the beauty and peace of the mountain top. I'll fly away playing in the back ground.
I love writing that carried me away!
Well penned!

I too was in a rush to post and thought something looked a little funky but couldn't put my finger on it.i am a rock climber and have been for more then 30yrs . People often comment that I must have a death wish. But it's quite the opposite. I never feel so alive as I do when I'm climbing. People pass every day from gun violence, car accidents, heart attacks, but to pass doing something that you love? Now that's the way to go.but no, I don't have a death wish. Thanks for stopping by.

I enjoy nature and love to be at the top of the mountain looking over everything, so with this piece I imagined that if it were my last moment I too would love it to be surrounded by nature and a beautiful view. I too have no death wish but if we could pick our last breaths view this one would do!
Keep climbing in writing and in life!

I was on the site once before a while back but I hit one of those bumps in the road that knocks you harder then the average pot hole. So I'm back and have very fond memories of this writing community... more..
