Little Fish

Little Fish

A Poem by Mr. Lopez

Fellow fish with secrets keep
You dare not venture in too deep

Shy from what you're sure to find
Shallow pool will keep you blind

Cursed you are and cursed you'll be
If you do or do not see

What's a little fish to do
But try to run from what is true

So effective, flows very nicely and could really hit people on a few different levels

This poem could be the antithesis of my "Swirling Toilet Bowl" poem. Even tho I used crude humor in my message, here you have stated my true feelings about how this presidential election feels. We can't venture in too deep, lest we get hopelessly drowned by our differences of opinion. We are cursed if we look or if we don't. That's why I wrote a flippant funny poem rather than venture from the relative safety of the shallows & dig deeply into what's going on in our political world. Your message can also represent so much more about life & love . . . but lately gentle nuances are drowned out by the political noise.
