The Fourth Dimension

The Fourth Dimension

A Poem by Mr. Lopez

Fishing in the oceans of dimensions
In my mind
Never sure of what or even who
That I might find
Through fields of screams on balance beams
Through thick and thin sublime
On blades of ash down nowhere paths
Where clocks cannot tell time
The serpents crawl through valley sprawl
In forests I got lost
To summer lakes of fire that were
Shored by winter frost
I'll take a trip to never mind
And speak of someone gone
The open gate to spirits wait
Where other worlds live on

I love the title...great poem, imaginative and makes you ponder the question....well written.

I've read quite a few of your poems tonight (I just joined this world an hour or so ago) and each one has been beautiful, whether rhythmically, or phonetically, or your imagery, or a combination of those and more. With that said, I only have one idea to posit and I am sure you have thought of it already, maybe try to tinker around with format by breaking your lines apart to form some stanzas. In this one particular you could separate every four lines. It might help readers to better follow your rhythm by implicitly giving them a space to take a breath.
