The Lemon Tree

Something I TEND to do.

My heart was always ice cold tea,

mixed with lemon fresh from the tree.

I was always blind to the truth,
the truth behind the lemon tree.

It wasn’t surprising , when a girl asked,
I replied with a tone that resembled my ice cold tea heart.

I love the simplicity in this poem. It procures a sense of curiosity in the reader, by leaving it up to interpretation, to an extent.
It sort of left me with an 'iced' feeling, and also with a desire for iced tea..

Nice and simple. I like it. Although it does leave a sense of curiosity to the reader.

Indeed, I leave that sense on purpose , so imagination and creativity spark. You probably have some ideas in mind,doesn't matter if they are what I thought, it's just fun to see different views.

Haha! I think she might've confessed, but at the same time she may be asking for something else. xD

Well, in my point of view ( ;) ) she asked for a relationship, and my character, isn't very pleasant in juicy situations.
