War Painters

War Painters

A Poem by MrKnowAll

The surface ground turned red,
horns of victory occupied the sky,
after a few hours -
the painters arrived.

In that day, the sun challenged the earth,
delightful fury consumed,
rocks shivering from pain,
and the light has yet to cease.

Jolly day for the painters,
seize the time, size the fright,
seize the day, for tomorrow it may change,
thus they shall paint today!

Tomorrow shall be a scorn day,
ravens on flags,
staring with silver eyes,
and the red dye alter to a feast-time.
